Pharmacology

Pharmacodynamics

The drug Angidak® Intensive contains the active substances benzydamine, octenidine, and phenoxyethanol. This combination is classified as a product for the local treatment of oral diseases and for use in dentistry.

Benzydamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects for diseases of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx. It has an antiseptic effect against a wide range of microorganisms and exerts antibacterial and antifungal actions.

Octenidine and phenoxyethanol are antiseptics with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral activity.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

Symptomatic treatment of pain syndrome of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and ENT-organs (various etiologies):

  • - Pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis;
  • - Gingivitis, glossitis, stomatitis (including after radiation and chemotherapy);
  • - Candidiasis of the oral mucosa (as part of combination therapy);
  • - After surgical interventions and injuries (tonsillectomy);
  • - After dental treatment and tooth extraction.

For infectious and inflammatory diseases requiring systemic treatment, the use of Angidak® Intensive as part of a combination therapy is necessary.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • - Hypersensitivity to benzydamine or other components of the drug;
  • - Children under 18 years of age.

Posology and administration

One dose (one spray) corresponds to:

0.255 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride, 0.17 mg of octenidine dihydrochloride, 0.85 mg of phenoxyethanol.

For adults: 4 sprays, 3 times per day.

1. Turn the cannula (the white tube) to a position perpendicular to the bottle.

2. Insert the cannula into the mouth and aim it at the inflamed areas of the oral cavity and pharynx.

3. Hold your breath and press the metering pump on the top of the bottle the required number of times - according to your prescribed dosage regimen.

One press corresponds to one dose.

Note: Before the first use, press the sprayer into the air several times.

Course of Treatment

The duration of treatment is 7 days; if there is no improvement after 7 days of treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
